APPROVAL OF THE AMENDMENT TO THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF SARASOTA COUNTY AND THE SCHOOL BOARD OF SARASOTA COUNTY, FLORIDA FOR THE ANY GIVEN CHILD INITIATIVE Description The partnership agreement between the School Board of Sarasota County, Florida and the Community Foundation of Sarasota County provides for a program director position to support the implementation of the Any Given Child K-8 Arts Integration Initiative. The initial memorandum of understanding for a one-year commitment of funding was approved by the School Board on October 16, 2012. The proposed amendment provides for additional grant funds to cover the cost of the position through June 30, 2014.

APPROVAL OF THE DELETION FOR DEMOLITION OF PORTABLES #99-204, #99-205 AND #R-317-003 AT SARASOTA HIGH SCHOOLDescription The Long Range Planning office has determined that these relocatable classrooms and the old security trailer are no longer needed by the District. The specified portables and trailer recommended for deletion have been inspected by Construction Services and Facilities Services staff and are deemed to be no longer economical to maintain or renovate. These portables are currently being utilized for various purposes as cited on the enclosure. Funds for demolition are available in the capital projects account.
